Community Drives & Charity Tournaments
September was an action-packed month for The PACE of Richmond! Giving back to our community and building strong local connections are core pillars of our business model. Throughout the month, our team members were out in the community participating in donation drives, charity events, and local golf tournaments. Here is a recap of how we spent our September!
Declutter for Good Drive
We kicked off the month with our Declutter for Good event, and the community response was overwhelming! This initiative gave local residents the opportunity to clean out unwanted household goods, clothes, and gently used items while keeping reusable goods out of landfills.
The collected items were donated directly to our partner non-profit organizations, Mercy Mall, Junkluggers, and Tech for Troops supporting local families in need across the Richmond area. The event was such a success that we are evaluating making it an annual fixture on our community calendar. If you missed the drop-off window but still have items you would like to clear out, you can still support these organizations directly through their donation portals.
Sheltering Arms Bowling Night
Next up, our team laced up their bowling shoes for a great cause at the annual Sheltering Arms Bowling event! Sheltering Arms Foundation provides vital physical rehabilitation services, helping individuals recover from injuries, strokes, and neurological conditions.
Our agents had a blast on the lanes, enjoying some friendly team competition while raising awareness and funds for an institution that delivers life-changing care to Richmond residents. It was a wonderful opportunity to blend team building with meaningful community philanthropy.
Keller Williams Charity Golf Tournament
To round out our event schedule, members of our team participated in the annual Keller Williams Golf Tournament. Golf tournaments are a staple of our corporate fundraising efforts, bringing together local agents, vendors, and community leaders to support local charitable initiatives.
While only a portion of our team could attend this year’s tournament, we want to extend a sincere thank you to all the sponsors, organizers, and golfers who came out to play. Community support is what makes these events impactful year after year.
